Whiten your mind and try again from zero, Jack. Not so difficult.
To make things easier: JAMMA (japanese amusement machines manufactures association -it really exists-) was the original name of the town, but it's no more.

Bingo, Raggi
The harbour is Ciutadella's one, in the western tip of Menorca. On the other side of the island there is the harbour of Maó (Mahon), which was once a british navy base.
The Sant Joan's (St. John) 'fiesta' in June, is when the horse riding demonstration takes place. Visit: http://www.emenorca.org/home_en.jsp?file=7&idi=en
The carthagenians founders gave the town its original name of Jamma.
Cheers..

Ah Guillermo my friend, you're hinting that you believe Gibraltar is Spanish territory. Heavens, whatever next. You'll be suggesting the Falklands/Malvinas rightfully belongs to the Argentine....

Until I saw the golf course I guessed St Kilda-Herta; then the fires - Uphallijah celebrations (sorry Raggi - must have painfuil memories) on Shetland; then the volcanic fireworks...Somewhere in Greenland...But just where....

No, I'm not interested about which flag flutters on top of the Rock. Gibraltar nowadys means by itself little more than what it is from the point of view of the landscape and the turism: an spectacular piece of rock with an interesting history and some monkeys on it. What I said, and maintain, is that Gibraltar is still today (EU, XXI century!) a not acceptable RN base and, what is worst, a nest of smugglers, tax evaders and money launderers. And I dare to say it should be a truly shame for any sensible and clever british or spaniard to contribute to keep things like that.
About the Malvinas, let's the argentinians talk, not me.

Cheers.

I'm really enjoying it too.
I suggest we should agree to some rules of minimums:
First, posting places only related to sailing (so harbours, ports, bays, capes, lights, etc, etc), that the poster has sometime visited in his/her life.
Second rule should be giving some clues after some unsuccessful intents from the others.
What do you guys think?

Cheers.

OK, under the new constitution I post

What famous city port skyline is this Don't let the obvious fool you.

BTW, that rock formation above somewhere was taken on my wanderings into the Australian western outback and is called Waverock.

Country - Poland

City - one of the following perhaps? 1.Krakow, 2. Warsaw, 3. Torun, or 4. Plock
