13 people dead from flooding from arkansas to maine ,,,,ya think these idiots will figure out how to stop the flooding,,,i figure people living in flood areas deserve their houses floating away,,,,and ya think they'll notice that it "seems" we flood out more often?,,,ya think them SMART engineers,,ya know,,the ones with the diplomas on the wall,,,,will figure out the more they fill rivers,,and flood plains,,,the MORE flooding there is,,the more damage,,,,,ya think all they would do is look at the mississippi river,,and see how the "flood areas" is "moving" further UP the river as they keep putting in levees DOWN river to stop the flooding,,hehe,,idiots,,,
and i KNOW i can be a millionare,,,i got this WICKED design to help the idiots from loosing their houses,,,maybe 1 day i'll patent it,,ya would think i would with it being so easy,,,i bet in 10 years if you live in a "flood plain" your insurance will make ya "have 1",of my "thingys" hehe
of course,,the ONLY insurance they can get is through the goverment,,which means,,EVERY time their house floods out,,,,we pay for a new 1 for em,,over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over,,,,kind of redundant isnt it hehe

Here in Florida it's the building near, and even on, the beaches. Welfare for millionaires. Have to "restore" the beaches when they wash away naturally. Can't wait the 3-8 years for them to build up again naturally, must "restore" them now, today, to maintain property values (and high tax revenues). So the rest of us pay out to dredge and pump sand, which starts washing away immediately because the natural cycle hasn't changed. Hurricane come, wash away house; no problem, federal government flood insurance (us taxpayers) will pay.

I couldn't believe the history behind one project planned near here. The county and state want to spend millions to reopen a pass (inlet to you Northern boys) from the GOM to Sarasota Bay. I thought it had been closed by a long ago storm. Nope, it seems that the county allowed some homeowners to bulldoze it closed in the 1980's because they complained about erosion undermining the houses they had built next to the pass (of course, all was done in the best interests of the county, no money changed hands. Anyone hoping to see the Easter Bunny, lads? ) Without natural water circulation and flushing, the southern part of Sarasota Bay has silted up, lost sea grass beds, gone from Bahamas-like clear to dark and murky, etc. etc. They've decided closing off the bay was a bad idea (Duh!) and will spend upwards of $30 million to undo it "in the best interests of all citizens and visitors to our fair county". Shite from professional shite-generators.

Faaaaaar out you guys, in 12 threads begging my attention ("Beware...", "Global War...", "What Do W...", "Hi again...", "CRUD...", "Random Pi...", "Not all Mil...", "Main-less r...", "Gardening...", "Why is the...", "The Drivel...", "A grumpy...") and as a trained counsellor and having NEVER counselled, I am distressed at the level of things "non-boat" in a "boating design" forum..
