Whaling

I've sailed amongst whales around NZ coastline and 110% against their slaughter by whalers, US Navy and crazed Japanese in small harbours.

I’m aware the focus of the Sea Shepherd programme is to stop Japanese whaling in Southern Oceans. The majority of Japanese whaling catch seems to be while still an unnecessary slaughter but of the less endangered Minky whales.

Meanwhile Norway, Iceland and Finland are slaughtering the highly endangered Fin whale population to sell to the Japanese market. The whales taken are all sizes of both sexes including calves because the Fin meat than is more desirable than Minky hence more profitable. This trade is being driven in Japan by Norwegian, Finnish and Icelandic entrepreneurs to expand market share.

Perhaps it’s time to shift the focus from the more emotive Japans whalers to the others nations that refuse to co-sign the treaty on whaling while quietly killing highly endangered whale species.

You should check and double check if you make such claims. What you think if someone says you are a yellowbelly child abuser like most westerners in China. Don't know if you are or not but I don't care like you obviously don't care what lie you are telling...

How do you feel about the Chinese navy slaughtering them, or do you just want to bash our military?

It's ok to drown your daughters in buckets though, right?

No, he wants to be a terrorist. Few people are willing to lower their living standards. Instead they point at others to change.

I've tasted Whale and Seal on the North West coast of AK in Native Villages.

I wonder if the Killing of Whales is actually doing any Harm to anybody or the environment?

My don't we get down & dirty on the defensive, did a truth hit a sensitive spot Olov.
Obviously you haven't been to Japan's fish markets in Osaka, Tokyo etc lately. Anyone who bothers to look can find Fin whale meat from Norway plus the biggest player is a Norwegian businessman who's activities go unchecked by your government.

Fact: I'm involved with fishfarm industry in your region and have seen the Norwegian whalers come in.
Fact: I spent a year in Japan and visited the whale meat markets

Fact: Your got a big chunk of the worlds oil/gas/fishfarm, the individual Norewgian quality of life is probably highest in the world, why do you need to kill whales your people don't eat.

Fact: My wife and I are hoping to have a child so your comment is a little churlish

Yep, I like bashing US Navy, the same navy that was responsible for initiating a trade embargo against my country because my govt/people asked US Navy to declare if they had nuclear weapons on board when visiting my country a nuclear free zone - New Zealand. US Navy refused, we refused access to ports.

Now US citizens are lining up to immigrate to NZ, why, because ours is a clean unspoilt country.

And remember, ANZACs were in both WW before the US got involved then we were allies in both WW and most major actions since including our SAS units in Afganistan today supporting your troops.

As to Chinese drowning daughters in buckets you obviously havent experianced China since 1940's and I hope to have a daughter about this time next year.

<removed>.. Finland has never had any whaling and that's not too difficult to find out.So don't make churlish accusations..
And by that we can conclude that you are not to be thrusted in anything.. so why you don't go to you wife and continue what you ever you were doing with her...
