Washing your Vessel

Washing your Vessel

So.

After a hard days fishing and you need to get the old Scow Spic & Span what do you use to make the task quick & efficent.

A good liqward dish wasking soap like Joy works well to cut the Fish Blood, Sopilled Beer and Vomit from Charterboat Customers.

Im thinking of installing a high pressure water pump and the addition of a high pressure air pump that runs off DC power would certainly create a Vortex of Suds.

Any ideas?

High pressure pump is a great way to wash, conserve water and your energy. Be careful ! All marine equipment is " waterproof " but never able to withstand the psi output of a high pressure wash. High pressure erodes naked wood and forces water into places it shoulnt be. High pressure is gratifying because...gee whiz, look how clean that baby is and no effort required ?? It can also be destructive. And soap ? Who knows. I tend to use the car wash or marine products that are concentrated ,so you only need a small bottle and which dry without so many water, soap marks. Ive never met a bottle of soap that made me stand back and say Eurika !! I found the perfect soap . I have met the perfect srubbing brushes. They are made by Shurhold...get one, the high price will fade into memory.

Ahoy !! wicked good. I forgot. When you asked is there some kinda miracle soap ? Well....get yourself a bottle of Ducky style toilet bowl cleaner. Now dont be cleaning your whole rig with toilet bowl cleaner !!!!!!...only a special area. The waterline, antifoul boot top interface. . Get all crudded up with harbor goo, exhaust, brown organic stains and most important calc..dried baked on salt. Always a bugger to clean...but not when youve got a handy bottle of toilet bowl cleaner..its acidic and soapy .... chomps right thru the calc and organic stuff , its got that handy upside down squirter top and its viscosity is thick...stays were you put it...a real weapon.
