Wakes...

So we know fastferries make huge wakes, and jetskis can be stopped by shredded rope.

Any brilliant ideas how to quietly kill a wakeboard towboat? Perhaps a very small, cardboard-and-fertilizer torpedo, with a model-rocket motor on it....?

A few flaregun shots......muahahahaahah. Oh, oh! You can follow it back to the marina, take off the motor cover or open the motor compartment and screw around with it, cutting random wires. And put water in the gas tank.

Video tape the event and record the speed with a borrowed radar gun. Send the video to the local TV news channel, harbor police and state representative.

The Rep/law maker will love the opportunity to look like the good guy and get the free press, plus tell people you have sent a tape to him/her but have not heard back will put lots of pressure on them to act responsibly. You should be able to get the wake speed lowered through legal means.

Aww.... where's the fun in that, kach? Then we don't get to blow anything up!
(Although what you suggest would almost certainly work if there were a TV station or police/CG detachment anywhere near this place.)

All that waffle by the 'experts' reminds me when I were 3rd mate on a 'banana boat'! Regular run from Central America past Mexico to Los Angeles. One trip going past Acapulco during the day the Captain mentions that that particular town, or at least the beach was a bit of a 'balloon farm' if you see what I mean! Well he or we decides it's worth a look and he goes past a few miles off, binoculars trained etc! Well 'skin boats' at full speed (several thousand tons at some 25 plus knots) put out a fair wake! Interesting wave up the beach that day! (stories relate some 6 feet, probably nearer 2 but sufficient to get the whole beach wake surfing!)

We enjoyed it but the resulting bo****king meant it was a never to be repeated entertainment!
