Several European countries have done quite well with a Christian Democratic party in the government; Germany is one. It's still too early to abandon the hope that the Muslim Brotherhood can be a muslim version of the Christian Democrats, and that they can separate politics from religion.

Germany: once a major player in the Holy Roman Empire, birthplace of Father Martin Luther and in turn birthplace of the Protestant Reformation which helped counteract the corrupt Roman Catholic Regeme in Rome.(Thank You Martin) Today Germany is, as far as I know the only country in the world that in addition to, property tax, sales tax, income tax, inheritance tax, ???? tax also charges a 10% religious tax to every citizen to support the countrys religions. The only way to avoid it is to appear before the courts and swear that you are an athiest.(that you oppose a God) If thats not religious induced opression what is? Thank you for the opportunity of allowing me to give this example of how organized religion interfers with freedom of the individual.

P.S. The majority of Germans are of the Roman Catholic Faith-- thus thru taxation of all citizens it promotes that faith over all others (power in numbers) involving that religion in greater numbers in the political running of the country.Children of the Roman Catholic Faith( as well as most other faiths) are taught that theirs is the only true religion in the world--so EXAMPLE ONLY : if you were a German Catholic in a position of political power and you had to choose between a Protestant and a Catholic --from your religious teachings to please your church and please your god -- which one are you more inclinded to choose ??? This is how organized religion can and possibly do( example only) destroy the freedom of the individuals.To protect a democracy organized religion above all else has to be 100% supressed in the running of a country.(total seperation of church and state) I never vote for a politicion that promotes his church attendance in his campains. He then has two reasons for my mistrust.

Christmas is Christ mas, a holiday is a Holy day and cor blimey that the Londoners say is really "God blind me " but they dare not say it so it was twisted to cor blimey.

I guess most of us want peace with ourself and others, thats the fundamental driving force of all humanity (not counting people in power), the method one chooses to reach that peace changes for religion, beliefs, way of life etc...
When we look at it our differences do not stem from our fundamental core but rather the subsequent stages.

I am honestly trying to reshuffle my life just in case of a "worst case scenario". I am trying to establish work in another countries in case i need to get out of here (a very very worst case scenario i hope and something i would do out of absolute necessity...).
Lets just see how things will roll out .....

Only I don't need scriptures , whaling walls, unbelievably stupid circumcision, frequent visits to holy places or silly little hats or any kind of religion to do that. However I don't want to convert you, I would be disappointed in myself if I did.

I try every day to be better than I was yesterday, not just to meet the requirements of a religion or a vicar. I can exceed that on my own , on my own 2 feet. My religion is 'me' its called Humanity.

Now ---if all Egypt was like me there would be no fighting.
