Thanks All!

Hello all,
I am just starting out with education at westlawn and found this site. There is a lot of great information here and I just wanted to say thanks, it will help a great deal!

Don Weymer

Will Allison: thanks for posting your reply on westlawns site to my drawing dilema.

Pleasure - hope it was of some help.

How are you enjoying the course?
I'm loving it. I'm up to lesson 15 (module 2) so I still have some way to go, but it's good fun so I don't find it a grind too often.
Are you up to the point where you can use CAD yet? I'm still drawing by hand......haven't mastered the computer stuff yet....

I am only on lesson 4. and still working on the drawing aspect. I agree with you though, it is a lot of fun, and eye opening concerning the designs of current production vessels.

Will,

is it possible for you to post one of your early lesson (1-8) sketches? I am trying to see what level of drawing I should be at this early stage.

From memory, most of the drawings I have are too big for me to simply scan (still learning how to paste 'em all together...) but I'll have a look and see if there's a relatively small one.

However you might want to take a look at this site - I haven't had a good look myself yet, but there seems to be plenty of Westlan drawings...
