Sunyata...trying to locate.....

I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules here. If there is a better place in Boat Design Forums to post this, I would sincerely appreciate a moderator or administrator moving this post!

I am seeling to repurchase a vessel I used to own, and sold. She was US documented under the name Sunyata. She was 46 at he waterline, an aft cabin ketch rigged motorsailer, of steel hull construction, built by DeVries-Lentch, (Dutch).
Wooden superstructure, masts (also of wood) in tabernacles.

When I owned her, she was docked in Seabright N.J., which is in Sandy Hook Bay. I owned her 1975-1977. I purchased her from an ear, nose, and throat Doctor, who worked out of Red Bank Hospital.

Any help appreciated grumpv8@bellsouth.net

Toll Free: (800) 799-8362 is the number to the CG Documentation center in West Virginia. As long as the vessel is still documented they should be able to help. Because of privacy requirements not sure how much they can tell you, but they might contact the current owner and pass a message. Or perhaps tell you the new home port so you can further your search.

Thanks for the tip, I'll try it!
I'm looking for the boat in hopes of attempting to buy it back. Although I sold it in 77 (78?) for 90K, her value, if kept up at all, must be well over a quarter mil!
I was moving to Florida, from Sandy Hook, and was told horror stories about steel hulls in tropical waters. It wasn't a maintanence thing, but rather a creature comfort thing. I've learned subsequently, that she would have been close to ideal for a tropical climate, considering that she was extremely well insulated, and ducted throughout for a turbine-style deisel heater. It would have been a relatively easy matter to swap out the heater for any one of a number of marine A/C units.
I guess I should have done my homework beter, something I've learned well over the last 30 (give or take) years!
