Maybe the guy has really bad hemorrhoids and needs the inclined seating position to be comfortable . . . Then again someone thought Lady GaGa's meat suit looked cool too . . .

Well I suppose art is in the eye of the beholder, but I sure don't consider it art. I think it's a waste of what was a perfectly good boat.

Seems like a lot of trouble to go to for a joke. But it's a pretty good one, and I don't mind being entertained -- especially if I'm not paying for it.

Art? Perhaps, It's certainly one of a kind. I can't help but think it's saddened a few hearts passing by at one time or another, feeling sorry for such a loss of the owner, also how can one tell when he's really in trouble? *L*

However it does take me back to Alan Fudd and Candid Camera!
there's a place for that.

come to think of it, anything that can remind me of Alan Fudd after all these years,
cant be that bad.

I absolutely agree - and it IS very entertaining.

My bet is that he gets paid for it too. There is one picture where the boat is on show indoors, and I bet he gets asked (with a fee) to bring it to various public events as a drawcard.

There is always room for the whacky and weird in my world. I might even pay!

Here is a link to another one of the designer's pieces;

This made me chuckle a bit more. It is a bit long to watch

http://vimeo.com/9016809

People concerns about wasting time trying the save the people aboard the "Love Love" to make sense to me too, but I cann't imagine the "boat"is actually used.

Art for arts sake ???

I think so

Allan

Well, on the plus side i would be happy to have the skills and knowledge to design and build a normal boat let alone what it must have taken to modify and make this abortion float, on the minus side i cant help but think that maybe if someone someday was really was in trouble and the view was simular and needed help that others would just take pictures, smile and wave... kinda like the boy who cried wolf. Aside from all that, art wise the guy is a genious, other wise we all wouldnt be looking at it now.
