I could only suggest the Vasa, outside of walking the old city, which is very beautiful.

The Absolute Ice Bar at Vasaplan (very expensive!!!),

Solidaritet Bar, Lästmakargatan / Stureplan. Well heated with a summerlike feeling.

Spy Bar, Stureplan, quite famous.

Saluhallen (is closed now in the evening).

ahh, the EAST, Stureplan, good Asian food (if you´re hungry)

Have fun!

Richard

Yes, thanks Richard.. Got few days free and decided to have a break with the kids so we take trip. A cruise with Silja from Helsinki to Stockholm.. relaxing, a bit shopping, good food..

In case anyone in your family is interested in science fiction, fantasy, manga etc, there's a very good science fiction book store on Västerlånggatan 48 in Gamla Stan. (www.sfbok.se) I would guess half of the books are in English and half in Swedish.

Unforunately I'm not very good at being a turist in Stockholm. I live here.

Next time you visit Wasavarvet, look at the history of the Wasa ship as a course in how to make a project go wrong. Not much have changed since the time of Wasa in that respect.

Have a good time in Stockholm,

Erik

Thanks! I know the history of Wasa and most likely will make a visit. Saw that last time.. 33 years ago I think.. That time it didn't look too good, looked like a wreck to be precise
Do you know about the statue which was found on the deck of Wasa when it was lifted.. they've been very quiet about it there.. but it's well known here, anyway among divers.

Might take a look into that shop if we have time..
