Solid mooring float.

Thanks for asking Poida. WEll she's taken a lot of scratches etc on the hull. In the end she got laid down twice as on the first hight tide (for several reasons) we were unable to float her.
The entire situation is very strange, it's still not clear if it was intentional or just poor mooring tackle. I've lost the boat once already when the rope wore through rapidly due to the contractor not fitting a thimble, the second incident was dragging the mooring in high wind/seas as the weight was insufficient and now the boat being lose again( ignoring the speared float for a minute). To release the boat the anchor chain would have to have been pulled up enough out of water to expose the particular shackle in question, then the lock wire cut and the pin unscrewed, there were other shackles exposed that would have been easier and quicker to access.. The mooring guy reckons it was his competitors and they do an underwater one to make him look bad, still given his previous 2 incidents I do wonder. I did make a report to police to cover myself if an insurance claim needed to be made.
I've got a good bow and arrow set, I reckon that work as well.

Getting a lot off the subject of mooring floats but the latest news it that it was an intentional/malicious act of freeing my boat off the mooring. I don't have names as the Parks Victoria guy will be dealing directly with the police however what was passed onto me was that there was a "person" (I have to be polite here) that was under the impression that after 3yrs!!! he still had claim to the piece of water he had expressed interest in and which I now occupy.Considering I am the only yacht in the whole bloody area what exactly was his problem?? Room for all.
The more I see of people the more I like my dog.

Bummer about your boat Mychael.
I seem to remember those lovely gleeming topsides.
I hope she is ok.

Have you heard they now make cordless angle grinders? (the crims must have been stoked)
Might be handy if you ever find this 'persons' boat.
Bugger the old cordless drill and a couple of easy to patch holes,
how bout a 10mm slit completely round the waterline.
If you have got any battery left, you could start on the standing rigging before 'ringbarking' his mast

I am not sure if I believe in 'Karma' or not, but I do think that people that do such things like this 'person' eventually get their own back- with interest.
