I have ruled out electric power for the boat. It's just not workable on what is in essence a canoe with a boat bow.
700 lb of weight drops the boat down in the water with the top two Chines fully visible above water so it will take around 900 with one and a half Chinese still visible. I will be happy with canoe speed I have never been in that much of a rush.
On my next attempt I want to make the beam a little wider but I will be limited as it's for on car transportation. I do however like the long sleek lines and the long nose it's unfortunate this may make it hard manoeuvre.
My thinking was that the boat would be paddled like a canoe and once out and about the motor used for cruising. After all its hard to hold a glass when paddling.
I'll try and print a cross section off for the shape. But I think I'll have to add an extra chine to flattern the bottom a little or I'll lose the lines above water.

The cork in the third photo will be good for floatation.
How do I prop the boat up? Now if I get a bottle of wine, empty the contents, wow I'll have a cork left over.

I'm not a boat designer but it looks like the shape of a boat to me.

Oops....................what a give away...............

Being a keen fly fisherman I use old corks to pin newly tied flies in while they dry. I only drink if there is a dee in the day...............
