Update

Thirty three boats remain trapped. Three that had been freeded became trapped once more.

There are four icebreakers working on the situation & more on the way. Two icebreakers were trapped themselves for a time.

A tanker is also trapped off of Lewisporte.

The men still there have been so for 17 days now.

I don't think anyone is laughing about this anymore. If they are, perhaps they should seek some kind of help. And maybe these men will think twice before doing this again.

Incredible pictures, I don't know of any surface vessel/vehicle, which is any good at tackling that. You either go way above it, or way below it and avoid it completely.

I would even keep my water walker out of there.

Others make smaller ones too. What a trip, huh? I didn't catch the price, but I seem to remember they are not too expensive. Wish I could try one out. I undertsand you train yourself, just like you would with a motorcycle.

Giant rubberbands, at least when I get around to building a RC model.

If you click the link, I evolved it (no new pics, just talk) to three legs and centrifugal thrust and lift fans. Not that it matters, just a silly exercise in imagination.
