Big difference in "conversion ratio."
Im pretty sure 17yo sons excellent conversion ratio is likely to increase!

Funnily enough on race day, I set up my A Class next to a fellow in a laser, and he seems to have a small harem of chicks that rotate thru the "crew" position... Ive never been game to ask if his strategy is working....... :-)

Back in high school through the summer before i left for the Navy I spent most of my time on my first boat hanging around the local beaches, my pick up rate was about 1:8. Now I just like puttering around the bay doing a little bit of fishing, maybe take a swim off the back of the boat, and a couple of beers on the hook. Never a hurry to get anyplace special, just for the trip.

Not a bad ratio. Also, that made hanging around the local beaches not a waste of idle time.
