| Camp Nafi Hello... My friend and I dropped a home made mooring off 'Camp Nafi' this summer - concrete and encased lead and rebar - worked great - lead to offset the bouyancy of concrete - encased to satisfy the enviros' - made a 'beach loop' thru blocks to haul the Donzi up to the beach and then off the rocks for the night... As for weight - well we went 'redneck' - as heavy as the two of us could lift over the bulwarks without flipping the boat... SH. |

| Up here in Alaska, we use those things that they make highway dividers out of... "Ecology Blocks" 2500 Lbs Concrete & ReBar. When you go to place, you just balance it across the bow of your boat and idle down to the place on a calm day. When it is right just flip it off the bow and be prepared to get a bit wet. Stainless Shackle and 7/8" Poly Line to a Crab Buoy, with a small trailer float. Concrete Block costs $50US at any Concrete Batch Plant in the country. That is what the do with batch Tailings, Make Ecology Blocks.... Costs more to ship them in, than to buy them....
