George,

Have you ever seen this one? Pretty neat, hovercraft + WIG, registered as a boat, no pilot license needed. Good videos here: http://www.universalhovercraft.com/ Click on 19XRW gallery for videos of this one, but they have a great variety, from beginner/trainer models to 10+ person ferry types.

Seen it in real life and I think posted it a few times.

It's not for me, I don't fly higher than I'm willing to fall.

Pericles,

Yes with Mokai Uk was more like a vacation than work got to see all the new boats and gadgets.

This would be a must see boat show I could have spent all day everyday taking pictures and still not caught it all.

Crane sail rig does NOT sail to windward

This is how container cranes are delivered from China. Probably saves a lot of fuel when running before the wind, but they don't go to windward worth a damn. This ship was driven ashore near Rotterdam a few days ago, during a heavy storm. Imagine navigating that through a storm; talk about stability issues!

Nice pics George, My questions are; - - "Will it float?" & "Isn't it upside down?", "Who has that kind of money?"
"Did the duck make it?" if so, seems it could help others in defensive / evasive manouvers!

The site has many similar, Much appreciated, Thanks -mas-

Two different craft, both stealthy.

These are much cheaper:
