Thanks. I'm ashamed to say I didn't know if you were pulling my leg, yanking my chain, tugging my squirrel (?) etc. so I put my fat, lazy fingers to work and Wiki'd it up.

As a titled royal, Charles holds no surname, but, when one is used, it is Mountbatten-Windsor, although, according to letters patent dated February 1960, his official surname was Windsor

Cheers,
Yes, that was kind of odd.

We were visiting my aunt in Sutton I believe, in '97. There was an overlook on the road to Anchorage, somewhere around Palmer, that we stopped at often. Way up high with a glacial runoff river down below, gravel bars, huge fish spaced out all over with nests scooped out waiting to spawn, eagles , bears, moose. An overall sense of prehistoric grandeur. Unforgettable.

Why are those things in use in Alaska? Cold seats?

LOL! Back in the early 60s I was listening to a call in radio show and they were talking about cold war nuclear missiles and some guy called and said "They should ask Eskimoes about those things". "I don't understand" said the host. "They know all about those ICBMs", and then he hung up. What a joker.

I had a place in Wisconsin where we had an outhouse. We kept a toilet seat hanging on the wall by the woodstove, so when sitting was required we had a toasty seat to take with us.

When I was in highschool in Minnesota I had an old Rambler station wagon that had clear vinyl covering the seats. It was so cold one time when I got in the vinyl didn't just crack, it broke into pieces like sitting on glass.

Real cold is an extraordinary world.

Love the term 'yanking' my chain SamSam...and you a good ol' boy from Georgia....

What Wiki doesn't mention is that his mum's more irreverant subjects call her 'Betty Windsor.'

The front fell off

This video is a takeoff of an actual incident in 1991, in which a tanker lost its bow during a storm. The resulting oil spill was a tragedy, but this video is funny, IMHO.

That had to be a spoof.

There was a series of mock interviews where the guy loses it and comes out of the closet (sort of speaking). Same thing here.

There is a top place for him in this admimistration, EPA perhaps or Homeland Security. Actually, that sort of logic can be used in any position as it requires no actual knowledge.

I posted that in another forum, here's one in return from that forum. It's almost like they have the same writers, if not that, they're tapped into the same kind of humor.
