Whoa! That's some discretionary spending there!

I like the Banksy stuff, but this is really junque...

The only consolation is they apparently executed the artist in 2005.

That would be good news until you consider that most works increase in value after the artist dies.

Ah - maybe that price was a post 2005 sale - while the artist was alive the sticker price was 1.33

Of course that pales into insignificance when compared to the famous advertising company founded by Saachi and Saachi.

When looking to buy art, they were given some good advice - Oils would be a good way to start.

Sadly they misunderstood the reference to Oil Paintings and bought a piece called 20:50,

A waist high tank with 8000 litre (Yes 2000 gallons) of waste engine oil 20W50 hence the name...

Of course, for those of us with more modest budgets, the same effect can be had by buying a used LandRover - a fresh piece of 'installation art' on your driveway every morning

"In portage"? Very impressive to build a boat while carrying it to the water. :p

    That one guy's the walrus!

(he's not leading anyone to safety with "skills" like that, so it's a more accurate Carroll reference than the Beatles')
