When the fishery dies, the boat dies. Even if its hull was indestructible.

There are some really interesting details to the boat.
Additionally it is strange how the F-35's pictured do not have the wings folded, usually that is a critical feature for deck storage. If they aren't going to fold the wings the aircraft would be a lot cheaper without the folding feature.
Thats a long distance from the blast deflector in the upper picture to the end of the ski jump ramp at the bow. I wonder if there is going to be a catapult?

I am going to share this with some British coworkers and see what they know.
    Thanks

That's an artist's rendering. I'd take those unfolded wings with a grain of salt....;)

Looks like an even earlier rendering, but it's a very recent article.

They were going to use the "B", but have switched to the "C" variant. EDIT: They are going back to the "B" now.

    Kach22i,

Anyone able to confirm that prop looks like it is controllable for pitch?

Your boat illustration above actually has F-35B model pictured. The wings are shorter, non folding, and there are some odd bumps immediately aft of the cockpit, which is the vertical lift fan upper door.

One strange feature is the non angled recovery path. But with the B coming in vertical it might make complete sense. The B has no tailhook.

Very interesting how only one side of the bow has a ski ramp. Is there only one catapult?

The separate actual F-35 picture is the C. Larger folded wings, larger horizontal tails (you can't really tell unless you have two pictures side by side).

It is a CPP but cannot see the inside cutout at the base of the leading edge so the base of the trailing edge won't interfere when going to reverse

I hired a jet ski to go see the US Nimitz anchored of Pattaya years ago. It was bigger than that and this silly Marine at one of the open side loading door shouting at me to go away when the tourist boats were off loading at the back.

I guess he didnt know it was tourist day. The chef was doing pitza crusts tuition and other stuff. Engine rooms were definately out.

Controllable Pitch Propellor. WHen you look at the photo
[IMG] you see the hub attachment. The mechanism allows the propeller blades to be rotated to adjust pitch.
