Hi kach22i,
Maybe the engineering for mandatory "crash protection" is a bit difficult? - - That would make matters a bit risky, - - but on the topic of risk aversion, - - I have some images that may be entertaining, (seems the boating fraternity is a little more careful around cameras)...

Maybe the whole car should be made like a composite boat. See the foam in this bumper? If good for the bumper, make the whole car a bumper.

It is all in the name "CNO" = CocoNut Oil made using solar-power & gravity --- but until I reach the tropics it runs on diesel...

another diesel-engined mode of transport --- bit small though,
