I give up! How do you post a photo without going through Photobucket?

thudpucker, - - Click on the <Go Advanced> button below the "message" text box, then click on the paper clip symbol and follow the lead, will even allow you to look through your own directories... select up to 5, then click on download or in this case upload then wait for it to be done then the screen changes requesting that you submit or something then another button or so to click on and lo-and-behold your big images are now neat thumbnails ready to click on if anyone wants to see the full size image... There are individual file size limits and extensions so check that out to ensure you are "within limits"....

Thanks Thud - that image is elsewhere - about a year ago - a smuggler's boat... confiscated there, I understand, from other member research...

Yeah its been around. I was actually looking for the photo of the huge Diesel being pulled by a truck. If I run across it I'll put it up. It's interesting to say the least.

Now this here's a DIESEL!

Random Picture Thread-re-power.jpg

The Wartsila-Sulzer RTA96-C turbocharged two-stroke diesel engine is the most powerful and most efficient prime-mover in the world today. The Aioi Works of Japan's Diesel United, Ltd built the first engines and is where some of these pictures were taken. It is available in 6 through 14 cylinder versions, all are inline engines. These engines were designed primarily for very large container ships. Ship owners like a single engine/single propeller design and the new generation of larger container ships needed a bigger engine to propel them. The cylinder bore is just under 38" and the stroke is just over 98". Each cylinder displaces 111,143 cubic inches (1820 liters) and produces 7780 horsepower. Total displacement comes out to 1,556,002 cubic inches (25,480 liters) for the fourteen cylinder version.

Some facts on the 14 cylinder version:

Total engine weight: 2300 tons (The crankshaft alone weighs 300 tons.)
Length: 89 feet
Height: 44 feet
Maximum power: 108,920 hp at 102 rpm
Maximum torque: 5,608,312 lb/ft at 102rpm

Yours is painted a true Aqua marine. A real boat engine.
Those numbers are mind boggeling. For me anyway.

gdmiller5, just upload to your library - I think the images must be smaller than 2meg each...

Thanks Masalai...the forum just seems pretty limited to me. These social sites have a lot more to them and a ton more functionality. A forum is well, just a forum.

I once saw a hole street of houses accidentally built facing the wrong way
Yeah but when you have a model of purchase where by the owner buys a property then procures a builder to build a house only to find the house built or half built on the wrong block.

The realisation. The anxiety. Yichee corumba!
