A boat carrying a group of anti-whaling activists has collided with a Japanese whaling vessel in the Antarctic Ocean. Japan said the incident, in which no-one was hurt, was "unforgiveable".

Activist Paul Watson, of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, said his boat was trying to prevent a Japanese ship from dragging a whale on board when the collision occurred.

Her name is Swift, and she has her own wikipedia page: see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSV-2_Swift
Built by Incat, and appears to be on lease to the US Navy as a testing platform. She is believed to be capable of over 45 knots.

Hmmm...maybe Japan needs to institute a whaling activist law similar to Texas' carjacker law... "If they approach your vessel and you feel threatened, harpoon the idiots first, ask questions later."

Funny photoshop.

In real life Nancy Pelosi (speaker of the house) said it was like an anvil being lifted from her.

Why are "Cruise Ships" on the Highway anyhow, if they really were cruise ships, one would have expected them to be on the back roads, enjoying the scenery, not racing down the highway.

Cruise ships are on the highway 'cause they are crusin', and what better place/way to do that and block all other traffic - - - it is after all Sunday, driving time... or will be tomorrow...
