Thanks for all the kind words.

I am shooting at a launch in April 2009!

Outboard?

I don't have an oil well in my back yard!

License for a non powered, or electric is
less than $2 a year.

Day 25

Did a lot of cleaning in the shop today.
Did some shaping on the dagger board and
rudder and got the tiller finished.

It started life as a tree and then became a pallet.
I saved it from the trash pile several years ago and
now it has a new life as a tiller. It still bares the
scars from the nails.

Day 26

Nothing to report.

Cleaned the shop some more, installing a set of steps
inthe attic.

I have just been using a ladder, but when the boat comes
inside it will be very unhandy to use the ladder. I have
needed to do this for some time!

Not a good day, not feeling well at all. A little rest is in
order I think?

Have a nice weekend.

I may have to get my wife to spank the whole bunch!

I found blades for my antique band saw, a shop here in
town can make them any size you need. $5 each.

Awww, just a ways north I think, you take the road... The 1 too Much is right, you must throw that chopper gun away, they make poor but heavy boats.
Is 'new' an excuse ?

BHOFM, is that boat going to float on the air trapped in it or are you going to turn it the right way up sometime Seems with the amount of rain you get there you can just as well float it as is I have only one objection to your project. You spend more time cleaning than working the boat, although putting it outside does give you an excuse to retire each time a cloud appears on the horizon....

My "shop" is 12'X16', you have to keep it fairly clean or
you can't work in it. It has work benches on three sides.

I'll get a good pic before we put the boat inside when it
is all neated up.

Hoping today we will get it turned over.

We have a noise ordinance, you can't run power tools
before 8am and not after 9pm. So having it inside does't
help get much more done. Just it is not going to be 80`f
for much longer.

Also, the ordinance, you have to keep the area picked up.
Out side projects like this also have a 90 day time limit
when you can see them from the street.

We have a lot of money invested in our house and I am
glad we have rules to help maintain property values.

They don't do anything unless there is a complaint, I feel
sure none of the neighbors would say anything, but I like
to be a "good" neighbor as well. They think I am the crazy
old man that's building a boat in the drive way. The kids
love to "check" it out! They have a million questions.
We are on a dead end street and it is a very close knit
bunch of people. Much as a family, the way life was a
few years past. Most have been here a number of years.
My neighbor to the south has been in her house over fifty
years.
My family came to this area in the 1820's! My
Great grand father founded Spears Vinegar here in the
1890's! This is "home"! We own the bank BTW!
It is also one of the highest per capita income places in
the world. Home of Wal-Mart, Tysons chickens, and JB
Hunt Trucking Co.

The average home here is over double the national average.
