The "Be prepared tiger" boat

Anybody seen it? I'm thinking about building something similar just for fun and to see what all I can stuff into it. Anybody know of any specs on it? I've found a few different pics of this boat, but never anything about who actually designed it. I know it was built as a project for a group called KRCF, but I don't think they actually built or designed it.

Looks like some sort of geodesic construction. Also looks like I would not want to waste time on such a project. The prone position part is alright if speed is more important than comfort, but if speed is the object then there are far better options.

How do you know it is a boat? Looks like something from either an art class or a structural element class.

Oh... it's art... that's different....
At least I have an answer to why... it's art for art's sake...
But still looks bloody uncomfortable!

It probably would be uncomfortable after a long while, but I still like the idea. It's not something made for speed or rough water, just...to play around with. My biggest problem is that when you see the finished product, the bottom of the hull does not look like it would provide near enough bouancy to keep any kind of weight (batteries, pilot, etc.) afloat. I found the dimensions (4.24m x 2.20m x 30cm) with a min/max draft of 0.15m/0.25m and an overall weight listed as 300kg. Powered by a yamaha M12 and remote steering onboard.

It's very flat on bottom with just a step down about 1/3 of the way back from what I can tell.

Sorry - I don't want to sound flippant, but to me it doesn't look like it was made for any kind of water. Why not put your effort into building something that would be useful? No reason it can't look just as dramatic... just better that it's based on sensible design principals...

If they want a canoe or Jon boat, they could always buy one a lot cheaper. They could probably build one cheaper too, then the monstrosity shown. Covered with radar reflective coatings, the fish would have a difficult time locking on and this may be the logic, understandably, behind the shape. Maybe a Jon boat with sea shells glued all over the hull or isn't this art enough? A tie die skin over frame possibly is art right?

He realy need a Calvin Klein outfit. His pants do not fit well in his ass area, and the color doesn't match

I think it's cool looking.

If built at 10X the size and painted flat black it would turn a lot of heads.

Interesting wake in the low speed video posted.

It's art, looks like it could me much more someday.

Long range stealth insertion craft for the Seals?It could prob. travel further than one of their battery subs. Less wake than their ribs plus stealthy against marine radar(it even appears to have a faceted bottom). I can't imagine a stealth rib.Yep slap some RAM on thhat puppy and USN might give you 1.5m/per. Or fill it with explosives and some R/C gear and call it the SST(stealth surface torpedo) 3m/per.
