I simply have way too much good footage from last year but this clip is a bit unique in that its very continuous and I'm paying close attention and not looking all over the place(I wonder why!) It made for a simple edit, once I found a tune I liked.

We tagged a fair bit but honestly less than I was expecting. More than a few "hang on" calls were given to the passenger which were unnecessary

Thanks for the vid rampager, that is wicked footage. I think Id like to hear it without music as well, just to hear what it all sounds like.

Show us some pics of your boats as well, in and out of the water.
Have to admit I know less than f*ckall about jetboats, but when Im in Kiwi oneday, Im going to give it a go.
Do you guys ever hit anything? do you reinforce the boats?

We hit stuff ALL the time Kinda hard not to. I knew that run would be a bit nerve wracking, it was bad enough going upstream! lol Nailed good right about 25 seconds in but the boat is tough, 1/2" 6061 T6 keel with a QT100 steel plate on top of that. It can take better hits than the passengers more than likely, as long as you keep the speed up and hit on the tough part of the boat. Trust me hitting a solid rock at 40 mph wakes you up lol

The sound is horrible, its a 2 stroke and my waterpoof case muffles the mic of the camcorder, I dont bother running an external.

You have to do it in NZ, lots of awesome people and river down there. tocub base on this forum before you go Im sure you'll make some friends for sure..

Can't see the pictures on the fast boats canada link, but awesome ride! Watching the video again now! I can't believe how shallow the water looks with the rocks screaming by - don't know if my nerves would be up to that piloting any more! Great video and beautiful river too.

Thanks, check out some of my other vids on there, we run all kinds of shallow water and can make it thru probably 3-4" clean in that type of boat, sometimes less!

Apart from that , that looks like good fun. I see you say your engine is a two stroke, what capacity?

If Im not mistaken the New Zealand boats run V8's.
I wonder how that would effect the water depth you can run in, with the extra weight. Although you are fully on the plane all the time so would it actually make a difference?

I would assume that every now and then someone completely wrecks a boat.

Wasnt enough water that day, actually had to go back there 5 times before there was, it was spring and very hard to predict flow in that area due to 4-5 dams upstream.

There was a quite a decent rapid in the distance between the two little cliffs, you can just barely see the start of it in the picture. Theres a glimpse of running up that one in this vid at 0:47...
