I'm resisting the "dark side" of the measurement! Problem I face is when you say 1 Kg i can imagine and understand how much that it.
When its pounds its so alien i have to transfer it first into Kg then i can get an idea what one pound is.

Unfortunately i have what is called selective memory ... i can memorize events, conversations and such, but names, numbers, mathematical formulas, units are bloody hard.
Hence although i dreamed about being an engineer, mathematics was such a problem for me i just could not do it no matter how i tried. ...(i love maths, formulas and excel im just very bad with them.)

it just adds an extra step or hurdle when im dealing with numbers and doing calculations ...

One of my pet peeves is tape measures with feet and inches on one side, and metric markings on the other side. Somehow, I always wind up stretching one so the wrong measurements are right-side up on the top edge of the tape.

Here in Miami, on weekends, amusement-seekers will come to the marina, set up folding chairs, and spend a highly entertaining day watching boat owners perform comical maneuvers such as forgetting to set their parking brakes and having their cars roll down the ramp and disappear, burbling gaily, below the surface.
I shared this insight with some other boat owners, and they all agreed that, definitely, putting your boat into the water is asking for trouble. Most of them have had their boats sitting in their driveways long enough to be registered historical landmarks.

    Sol Alinsky Tactics:

1.Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have

2.Never go outside the experience of your people.

    3. Whenever possible go outside of the experience of the enemy.(cause confusion, fear and retreat.)

4 Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules

    5. Ridicule is man's most potent weapon.

    6. A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.

    7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag

    8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions

    9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.

    10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure on the opposition.

11If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside.

12 The price of a successful attack is a constuructive alternative(you cannot risk being trapped by the enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand and saying you are right. )

13Pick the target, freeze it, personaize it and polarize it.
    Sol Alinsky

Not my favorite quote, but it is good to know where the tactics come from.

"And since it is precisely a molding of opinion that the State most desperately needs, the basis for age-old alliance between the State and the intellectuals becomes clear.

It is evident that the State needs the intellectuals; it is not so evident why intellectuals need the State."

    -- Rothbard.
