    Here's another pic of the emotional* return of the Botter UK 12 in Urk after 3½ years of restoration by Urker volunteers on the Batavia Yard in Lelystad.
    * one of their mates died in the accident . . :(

    Ah, the Ooops chronicles. Should make a great book. It's interesting to note how often oopsy images have a boat at one end. Proof positive - if it were ever needed - that boat people usually lie about the weight of their boats.

    Fishermen do the same about their catches, but in the other direction . . .

    Yep... looks like it actually broke in two pieces. Wonder what the scantlings for the boat were... Iron frames and Lead sheathing?

    Judging by the relative position of the boom, he wasn't paying attention to the alarms or the chart located directly in front of him.
