The question isn't if our culture/society/economy is going to be disrupted. It's now a forgone conclusion that it will be. The question now is how we want to manage it.

Foregone conclusion? Science is settled? Debate is over?

    No, no, no, no-no-no!

You admitted there are no facts to support anthropogenic global warming and or man caused climate change.

There are MANY facts arguing its hogwash.

The largest and undeniable fact, is climate is always and has always changed even before man existed.

Other incontrovertible facts, are, co2 has been higher levels and the world warmer in epochs past, and nearly the entire planet was rain forest. A garden?

The role of government isn't to encourage innovation, but to control people and reward cronies.

    http://jalopnik.com/5870507/report-every-chevy-volt-has-over-250000-in-government-subsidies

"Report: Every Chevy Volt has over $250,000 in government subsidies"

    WHY?
Do we need to discover how to build a car? Private industry did that.

What about start up technologies that DON'T get a quarter of a million dollars subsidy for each car they build?

Are they encouraged or hindered by unfair govt interference in the market?

If life as we are accustomed gets disrupted, big government will be the culprit.

Climate, we can adjust to. It's change is slow. And fair.
Rains on the righteous and the wicked just the same.

Government is precipitous and unpredictable and biased. It's made up of people, and some not very nice people.
You think people need controlling because they pollute with co2. How about controlling the people messing up in government?

    The less government is better.

Want a 1/4 million dollar car at a discount? Now is your chance.

Apparently I didn't make myself clear. I DID NOT say that there are no facts to support AGW. There are in fact LOTS of facts to support that theory. What I intended to say was that no one should conclude that what I say should be taken as a fact simply because I said it.

If you want to know what the facts are you should ask those who are the most competent in the field you are interested in. In the field of AGW neither you nor I qualify as experts. Which is why I post journalistic articles of what experts in the field of AGW (as well as other fields) are saying.

And ignoring the overly enthusiastic headlines, inside every article, the scientist says "possible", "might", "could be", and those are NOT facts or certainties.
    Merely speculations.
Facts are, "scientists" on your side have adjusted data that didn't suit them, fabricated data when none existed, and out-right lied.

"If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with BS", seems to be your sides motto.

    And my competence?
Among other things, I'm a competent judge of when someone is trying to con me.
    Not buying your rhetoric.

Now I understand. It is a type of bollard. Must assess feasibility. :)

That portion of the Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine within USA 200 mile territorial sea, could be a marine sanctuary. Only sport fishing and subsistence fishing. No factory trawlers. Then maybe Canada would follow closing Grand Banks.
Just because Europe and Japan considers these are international fishing grounds, doesn't make it so.
    Nobody gets "grandfathered" in.
A multi-century history of over-fishing these grounds does not garner rights to continue.

    http://www.cbc.ca/news/technology/grand-banks-cod-stocks-grow-69-since-2007-1.942200
"A moratorium on cod fishing in the Grand Banks was imposed in 1994, two years after the moratorium on northern cod, a population of the species a little further north.

The World Wildlife Fund noted that Canada has done a good job of not exceeding voluntary limits for the number of cod caught accidentally as "by-catch" while fishing for other species.

It said European Union fleets continue to exceed the limits, however, and this "accidentally-on-purpose" approach continues to threaten the cod recovery."

The concrete for the wall has set. The cap will be next after backfilling. :)

Close our seas. Close our borders. Close our wallets.
Give the rest of the world the respect we demand for ourselves.
Self government, self reliance, and individual responsibility.
Reduced to solving their own problems without expecting a continuous/generous handout, might result in actual real world solutions.

Flower beds with endangered species of wetland flora might...hmmm, probably be a bad idea, Hoyt.
Might get you ousted from your home, when the EPA confiscated it to protect the endangered plants you planted. :D

Flower beds? No. EPA is just another way to enslave us.

Little fish are already playing along the new foundation/wall.
