ok so the skinny is that there is an agnotology paper coming out Monday that M Mann is going to be discussing in a private study group and although I'm certainly not in the group I did get offered to read along, they do most of there discussions through e mail.

always interesting stuff
cheers

North of the Medicine Line? I don't think so. I thought you formed him out of clay, or something malleable.

Food prices are rising for many reasons. Gasohol is a big reason. Printing worthless greenbacks is another. Throwing competent farmers off their land for racial reasons is another. Denying food based on politics by tyrants is another. Over-regulation of food producers is another. Ask a British fisherman how that happens.

Well, its finnally "official"; I did ask around about the hermit crabs, that's gotten pretty rare(scarce?) around here. (Southern Norway. Tried to show them to my son a couple of years back, which turned out pretty difficult, but managed a few after some effort). New article in the local news magazine, and interviews with some scientists (flodevigen marine station ) states that due to higher temps in the sea, the seaweed have changed into types that are not that suited for some species (and hermit crabs were mentioned). This again is not doing anything good to the population of the local coastal cod, it's its food that have vanished. I was out on the ice a couple of days ago, went close to a wide crack in the ice. I then spotted something unusual for my area; a large red jellyfish... They are supposed to be seasonal, but apperantly this one didn't know that.

I was referring to them being able to get their boats out to sea in the first place. Duh.
