give it a proper sloop rig with bermuda sails, add a ballast keel to counter the sideforces and leeway... i think it will still not perform good...
interesting project though... but the old fashioned rah sails... oh my...

if you want a motoryacht - you will build it differently
if you want a sailing yacht - you will build it differently
if you want a rowing yacht - thats the way to go (but i do not see any oars on that one)!
