i am already finding much useful information from your members and enjoying the forum, so, i thought i should introduce myself,,,,or buy a round.

my name is bob and i have a small watercraft rental operation here on south bass island in lake erie, ohio, usa. at season's start '07, we will have 6 small fishing boats, 6 jet ski, a few pleasure boats, non-powered craft, and food service. and a rock'n'roll band.

i look forward to involvement in your community. hello.

    Hi Bob,

I have found the forum both informative and entertaining (at times). Alot of knowledge resides within the memberships nautically inclined craniums.

My place of birth was Euclid. Spent many a day as a child exploring the lakeshore. Of course back then (mid-60's to early 70's) the lake was not what it is today.

Someday I would love to make it over to your area, hopefully while afloat.

Welcome to the forum & good fortune with your business.

    Take care.

thank you tim and longliner. come on up! i will understand if you wait until the lake is either frozen or warm, it's the in between that is no fun.

    G'day Cal
Just wondering where the "Rock and Roll Band" fits into a boat rental business. Do you hire a boat with a R&R band on board or do you just hire out the band.

OK now I've got it. Instead of using a megaphone and yelling "NUMBER 27 YOUR TIMES UP!" you tell them their times up when the band plays "Rock Around the Clock."
