    Hello all,

just want to introduce myself as a new member in this forum.

I have nothing to do with boats other than an absolute fascination for them since as long as I can remember. Professionally, I took a different path and became an automotive designer some 12 years ago. One cannot do all in life..., but I follow with passion the boat design world, and still doodle boats whenever I get a chance.

Although I live in Germany, I was born and grew up at the Canary Islands, Spain. This might explain my passion.

I look forward to some pleasant time at Boatdesign.net

    Thanks Bergalia!

And about receiving some knocks, no worries...
I guess that at some point I should spice up some discussion related to car design, you will have some fun.

Welcome aboard, tamaran. Your designs may have those abominable spinning rubber things on the corners, but you're welcome nonetheless.
Love the fish pic. (Where'd you catch that guy?)

    Hi Tamaran

The only thing I have found automobiles good for is towing my boat down to the boat ramp.

I think it's an Alfa Romeo designed by Pininfarina in 60'...isn't?

    Ranchi, Mychael,
you both are right, it is the Alfa Romeo "Disco Volante"
This was an aerodynamic study done on a racing chasis with focus on side winds, it also has a completely closed underside. It was done by Touring in 1952, and I believe it is a one off.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.... looking at that Alfa I recognize a few aero features also found in the latest generation of solar racers.
Love the Lamborghini... at least I think it is, hard to tell under all those girls ;)
