New designer on board

Hello all!

This is my very first post here and i am real excited about this forum.
I cant imagine how much knowledge there is to find here and how much i can learn.

My name is Kristijan and i have already designed and engineered 3 motor yachts in the range of 10 to 12m, but we all learn along the way and i have just started.

I am looking forward to find new knowledge, ideas and solutions, and also to help others with problems i might have solved.

At first i have a humble request.
I am very new at this forum and i cant find any "sticky" threads? I would like to start reading those threads, that are most popular and most important and have the most quality topics and reply's...
Or if somebody could simply point me in the right direction to start, because i just don't know where to begin here, with so many threads and posts...

Thank you

I think you will find interesting posts by guillermo, dskira and apex1, just to mention 3 who also have interesting stuff in the photo gallery. They get into serious design discussions with others of their standing. Look for the posts that will catch your interest. There are others as well, just keep looking. Many professional and talented mix here with not so professional and rather untalented, such as myself from the latter category. I hope you will find it interesting as well as entertaining.

Thank you

Its good to know right away which users are most respected and have the basics covered.

About my field of work:
Right now i am working on a 10m pleasure boat, a small but comfy family cruiser, with a up to 300hp diesel single engine... i cant say more, since it is not yet announced to the world, but will be soon

I dont have a Nautical degree actualy!, but i am an engineer and i just love to draw and construct boats, therefore i am here to get the knowledge i need for further projects and to see what there might be new to learn.

All the best to you all

Kroskris,

Welcome to the board.

This place is a wonderful resource for all things boating related, and a lot of the people here are amazing when it comes to sharing thoughts and suggestions. Particularly those the professionals listed above. If you haven't noticed on the upper right hand of each post there is a post count and reputation counter, the higher the reputation the more people on the board have voted to give it to them.

Until you get to know individual names this rep counter is a pretty good indicator of the respect different people have on the board.

And for us to learn from you.
Do not pay attention to the rep point.
Have fun, in the best boat forum you can find.

I am back!

Thank you all again for a good welcome.

Here are some pictures of my current project, the new Marex 320 Holiday Cruiser, which is still in development, but in the latest stages. This boat was featured at the Batliv magazine and the July MBY magazine. Have fun checking it out.

This boat will be produced by Marex in Norway.

Here is their homepage, www.marex.no, and at the "news" page you can see the announcement of this model.

Kroskris, I have been reading the interesting history of your country. You must have some great stories about your new and old country!

Hi Kroskris, welcome here.

That's a very nice boat. And it is an interesting way of gaining more cabin room, if that's a cabin (attached photo). Pretty uncommon solution for modern fast cruisers of that size. Was it your client's request to sacrifice the aft cockpit for another cabin and more berths? Where is the engine room, and how do you access it?
Keep doing the good job.

Cheers
