| New atavar My old atavar seems to have caused some confusion among the younger members of this forum leading to the belief that I am in fact a rabbit. Little could be further from the truth - except in my breeding habits during younger days. And of course 'rabbits' are bad luck at sea. However to clear up any misconception I have added a new atavar. Unfortunately this may cause confusion among Mel Gibson fans - but will explain why he is frequently mistaken for me. | I have resisted the tempation to have an ativar. I couldnt find anything suitable or that matched my personality. But I suppose this is as good a time as any to answer your oft repeated query as to why a fine Highland gentleman as myself should be 'exiled' down under. Odd thing really. It was soon after that Falklands thing. Emerging from it I had naturally exhibited magnificent heroics (as to be expected) and was invited by HM to receive a whole batch of medals - bravery - beyond call of duty - all that kind of thing. Turned up at 'The House' in full Highland regalia - plus wode - all tiddly and parade like. Had a swift chat to 'Ma-am' and posed for the group photo. It was on seeing the result that HM took the huff - something about 'Putting Phil in the shade...' Next thing - whooosh - a free ticket to the colonies and a suggestion I make it an indefinate stay...  |
