I think it would have been cheaper to airmail it.

you would be correct on that point, fuel consumption is not bad putting around esperance coastline fishing.
but open it up on a calm day.(we dont get many days that you can really open the throttle on) and she gets very thirsty.

It does look a bit like a Fisher 25, or also Nobel Engineering in Brisbane make nice plate boats, have a gander there.

I used to run a 25 Fisher as a dive boat, had a 200hp Merc on the back and it could carry 8 divers and all their crap at 25 knots, a very good boat.

And yes, it did know how to suck up fuel, but that was irrelevant at the time.

Info about your boat

Hi,
I bought a boat that appears to be now yours in 1977 and sold it in about 1992. It was made by Star Boats of Perth, 6.1m long, 140 Mercruiser, red and white, self draining deck, 180l fuel tank. I put in the opening cabin hatch, rod holders along the gunwales and stern, boards under the seats in the cabin. Also a fuel flow meter, two batteries and an isolator, engine bay insulation and a blower. Most importantly I named it Mean Streaker. It was very strong, a bit rough in choppy water but I had great fun with it and caught tonnes of fish.
