Well, are you saying it goes out with 175 people and only 70 vests?

Fellas, I believe the problem is that 80% of the people out there who want a boat have no idea what a beautiful boat is supposed to look like. For those who defy convention and attempt to design and build the "perfect Boat' that percentage is probably even higher. The one saving grace is that, more often than not, when a boat is designed for its primary function, seaworthiness, the form ends up being reasonably graceful. Rarely is a truly ugly boat seaworthy.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, one mans meat is another mans poison.

You can't define beauty, we would all be chasing the same one woman.

Life boats are beautiful

I am saying it went out with improper stability, insufficient hull thickness, not enough life vests, and a fake license.

But it was stopped to operate any longer.

I see a difference between "managed to get a 175 person license for it" and "a fake license" but what we may have here is a lack of communication.

This thread from the beginning has had little real information, but lots of speculation and pure guesswork. It would be nice if the folks that have any real information would post it, but like much of the affairs of life in these parts of the world, little accurate information is available and the right thing is a rarity.

agreed

all the 'real' information is in the original thread itself. Even that is second hand.

I'm sure any one of us would really like to sit down with a few beers and the ones responsible for this and just listen to what they have to say.

From the beginning of the thread (in the link), it seems the owners somehow got it in their heads that this boat stuff was a no brainer. Would be interesting to find out how they got that impression.

you guys know theres no telling what happen other then the fact that the boat was over weight and only the builder and the project manager know why that is
maybe the little women added granit counter tops etc etc etc etc etc hot tub and the list goes on
every culture on earth has designed a boat of somekind mistakes have been made by everyone
its just part of life if dont try something nothing will ever get done
if they dont lighten that boat up adding more floatation is not going to work
but im sure they know that by now

seems this has been floating around on the net for about a year or better now
well almost anyhow

You did not notice the data provided, did you?

The vessel changed its dimensions several times (all dimensions), and every time to the worse.

A granite countertop, or ten of them, would be a minor problem.

They just screwed it up with their complete idioty and ignorance.

You need to read the whole thread.

The story isn't over yet. Stay tuned!

We'll have to wait until spring to see the modification pods in action I take it. Maybe after enough time passes we'll get to hear some inside details of how it went wrong along the way... in hindsight.
