| Movie "Pierrot Le Fou" (1965) - what boat is that? As in the title - does anyone know what is the model of the boat Jean Paul Belmondo pilots in that movie? Link to the time-frame where the boating action starts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...HhvATGx8#t=58s Unfortunately, the boat can be seen for just few seconds, and is partially hidden by the sailboat in front of the camera. However, I do like how it looks, hence the question. Thanks. Cheers |

| I've checked Mathews boats, very nice vessels. But I couldn't find a model which would resemble this one. There's something european in that vessel. The movie was shot at the French riviera, so I guess the boat was built somewhere in the Med or in Europe. At first I thought it was a Baglietto, but couldn't find anything similar among their models either. Baglietto Ischia is my closest match so far, but only as a general styling. It is too big (16.5 meters) and the boat in the movie has an aft-cockpit (besides looking like something around 9 metes long): ![]() Baglietto Tigrotto is about the right size (8.5 meters), but the styling is different: ![]() |

| PAR, couldn't find a pic of a Connie which would resemble this one... If you have a link to some pic of the boat you think might be the one, please give me a hint. |

| I think "Chris Craft Constellation" is meant here, which indeed gives some similar looking boats, but an identical one didn't pop up for me on that . . . . Good luck! Angel |

| Yes,I thought of the Elba as well...the other Med. Island (Ischia, Capri, Maiorca, Minorca) are too big. Azimut is too late Benetti went from wood to steel in '64 and are too big.

| Still not sure about Baglietto Elba... This is the yacht from the movie: ![]() I can see similarities to the boat in my post #9, but also some differences. For example, the boat in the movie has lateral helm windows and walls going down in a single line to the deck, unlike the Baglietto Elba in the post #9. I have indicated it with a red line in this comparative pic: ![]() Perhaps there were various models of Elba, or variatons of the design over the years. What do you folks think? |

| Wacky movie........ The boat appears to be a Baglietto wanna-be, it's no Chris-Craft, no American boat would have the aft deck. I'll guess size is 10-12m, could be 12.5. In the second scene note 4 people in the cockpit with lots of space left. The roof lines are rolled down as Baglietto, but not quite enough. Window detailing is Baglietto style (ss frames) but the transom shot shows considerable tumblehome aft unlike the larger Baglietto's with flair and raked aft transom....... Could easily be a one-off....

| I am also curious considering...........the OWNES line of boats had an aft deck that was very similar , and to tell you the truth the boat really remindes me of a 33 C.C Cavalier which was Ply which had a spray rail towards the bow that was also very similar . |
