Mounting 'rep' points

Gentlemen and ladies. No, bugger it - friends and companions. I happened to glance up from my key-board and noticed that my tally of 'points' was fast rising. I am flattered and give my thanks to those who have hit the 'button'. But in all honesty - I don't believe I deserve them.
I joined this forum as a way of rejoining the type of conversations and 'arguments' I enjoyed in my years at sea. The type of practical and impractical exchange of information and banter (most important that) which can be found only among like-minded souls.
For me these threads are the essence of the human intellect. (I know that sounds high-falluting..but sincerely meant). Now I'll shut up (for the time being) and simply say - colleagues, frinds, I thank you most earnestly. Points are nice - but most important to me is that you keep the talk going...

Maudlin may be the understatement of the year.... on the other hand, since Frosty changed his identity, perhaps you could become Maudlin Max?

Suggested avatars for Maudlin Max .... crying in his beer ... "Sob, Youuuu guys are the greatest, I love you all!! Sob"

Charlie - I'd rather have the barmaid - she's not such a tit (that's a type of small bird we find in this part of the world! honest)

Enough with the mushy stuff old top.

I gave you points once, shut my eyes, had the cat dance on the keyboard, then hit enter. Hell, I may have docked you!

OK Waiki...a few points on looking cool. First, shave off that ridiculous moustache, stop wearing the combination of thongs and black stockings, wear a girdle under that miniskirt when you go down the club, and avoid pink lurex blouses - it clashes with your complexion. Oh - and stop trying to pass yourself off as Jeff the Moderator.....Jeff would never wear thongs unless they had stilleto heels...

Waikikin... people can take yur point but never take your spirit and freedom to have a limited express...

Point is useless... I have seen a guy with -68 point and get more spiral each day. Unless u wanna mass point + then u should become a forum god like JEFF. Even Jeff is subjected to plus and minus of the system ...

Point come with time as we post more, stay screen gaze more, interact more, ******** more like now... he...

Understanding and mature take along time and a lotta point, childish person tend not to understand the thread and bug a point under their scope of I.Q. you really cant blame pincher from idiot u know...

Cheers

WLS5554x

edit: It is useless to hav alotta point but never comment or open a thread in his lifetime, too high a point could turn into a big problem as all junior member thought that guys know all and leaving u hang dry... Point best from process of time and when really people appriciate what we contribute... then it worth something at least to us...
