As reference a previous thread on the MH370, the thread was closed because the last 3½ page or so degenerated into an hot-topic political discussion, with little to no relation to boating or the seas, about the downed MH17, which only relation to the thread was the same carrier.

P.S. - I should have looked better , just saw the first above link is already on top of post #1 . . .

In a few hours all of the "it landed in Russia, India, was beamed into space, etc." and other conspiracy theorists, need to offer up an apology for being the illogical nut jobs they are. It just amazes me how many people can buy into unsubstantiatable rhetoric and rhetorical nonsense, happily eating the ridiculousness it requires. Well I guess a few will also vote for Trump, right . . .

I wonder if this piece will get them any closer to the plane. Did it crash closer to reunion or off w.a. boats that have broken moorings in perth have turned up at Madagascar. In albany there is a life boat that was lost from a ship in Durbin s.a. and drifted across the indian ocean and finally washed up in princes royal harbour. That part could have drifted thousands of km . There was a report of a low flying airliner over the Seychelles the day mh70 went down so they still have one huge search area.

It's not official, but this is most of the port flaperon, with what appears to be the spoiler articulator assembly still attached. The maintenance numbers have been sent to Boeing and they know what parts they are and what aircraft they got installed on. Because the France is running the investigation, they'll be the authority to announce the parts and maintenance numbers match that of the missing 777. This is standard protocol and the folks at Boeing already have passed along the information to BEA.

This will prove helpful, because the deployment location of the flaperon will tell is it was a low speed or high speed impact. If the pilot was attempting a ditch, there'll be indications of 30% (or so) flaperon deployment, when ripped off the trailing edge of the wing. I'm still off the opinion that it augered in, breaking up underwater and sinking in lots of little, completely flooded and crushed bits. This would explain why there's been only this piece in the last 18 months. Had it ditched, the aircraft would have broken into much larger pieces, some of which would have leaked their contents as it filled and sank, leaving a debris field.

If you want to be really depressed take a look see at New Real Peer Review and glance through some of the social science papers mentioned.

Doesn't make sense. If he wanted to do something like that the middle of the Indian Ocean is, to say the least, not an obvious target.

There have been cases of pilot suicide (like the recent one in Germany) that had nothing to do with jihadis, and you can't assume that just because the MA pilot happened to be Muslim he must have been a jihadi. He may have just been suicidal, for whatever reason.

Agreed, there's no hint of any jihadist intentions on this flight crew. This was investigated and found to be wanting at best.

Anyone that uses Breitbart as a news source, is obviously not looking for truth.

The rest of the fuselage is sitting on mars, it is the only logical place it could be... ;)

Does sound logical. The pilot was a Marslim.

Why is the idea of it being a suicidal terrorist act thought of by some as improbable? Such pesons have no soul, they have no empathetic feeling for others, little love, but only those thoughts of death and murder that fill their minds. Clearly this was premeditated and if so shows the pilot cared nothing for the lives of the people that he did take. The reasons that radical jihadist muslims have killed others is for personal gains with their god as they believe to do so is god's will as they read their book. There does not need to be any written manifesto by them, they just do it.

The revelation, which Malaysia withheld from a lengthy public report on the investigation, is the strongest evidence yet that Zaharie made off with the plane in a premeditated act of mass murder-suicide.
