Well that's what I thought. I don't think selling pictures to the media of blooded bodies in the attack is a sign of professionalism do you? Source BBC.

That is making us look like them, whooping and cheering over photographs of the dead. Look what we did yeah!!

Speechless!!!
Going on a bit for someone who's speechless, aren't you?

The pictures in the media didn't come from the US. The one of bin Laden is a fake that's been floating around for a couple of years; the ones of the dead bodies in the compound were taken by a Pakistani after the Americans left.

Apparently you aren't listening closely. Either that or the BBC has slipped... it used to have a reputation for accuracy.

An image apparently showing a dead Osama bin Laden broadcast on Pakistani television and picked up by British newspaper websites is a fake.

The bloodied image of a man with matted hair and a blank, half-opened eye has been circulating on the internet for the past two years. It was used on the front pages of the Mail, Times, Telegraph, Sun and Mirror websites, though swiftly removed after the fake was exposed on Twitter.

It appears the fake picture was initially published by the Middle East online newspaper themedialine.org on 29 April 2009, with a warning from the editor that it was "unable to ascertain whether the photo is genuine or not".

(CNN) -- Pictures taken shortly after the raid that killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden show three men lying dead in pools of blood and the wreckage of a U.S. helicopter abandoned during the assault.

The pictures were published Wednesday by Reuters. The news agency says they were taken by a Pakistani security official about an hour after U.S. forces left bin Laden's compound and that it is confident of the authenticity of the purchased images.

LOL, I agree a bit crappy if a thread is started in your honour and only one post out of 131...

The only thing I have on BL is a picture that is said to be proof of his burial. (attached)

Usually, if the politicians allow these clashing facts and everyone is running around trying to figger out (it's called bickering I believe) what really happened, there is another issue more important they are trying to hide by getting your minds off it.

There you go. Masalai and Bin in the same thread.
Mas, I sure as hell hope the boat does better

You have a lot more than just one unverified photo. Even Al Queda has conceded the old SOB is dead; they're running around swearing revenge. Or do you think maybe they're in on some sort of conspiracy with the US to fake bin Laden's death?

edit: the Afghan Taliban has also issued a statement, saying Bin Laden "embraced martyrdom as per the Will of the Almighty Allah during an abrupt attack by the American invading soldiers."

There are no "clashing facts." There's simply the fact that bin Laden is dead, being somewhat drowned out by all the noise from people with their own axes to grind. Some of the noise is coming from people who love Islamic terrorists, and some of it is coming from people whose knee-jerk reaction is to badmouth the United States of America, no matter what happens.

What do you think we should've done? Given the body to someone who'd build a terrorist's holy shrine to house it? Sent it around the world as a traveling sideshow? Or maybe taken him alive, making him a propagandist's dream and rallying point for years? Personally, I'd rather we have a dead martyr on our hands, instead of a live one....

Bin Laden died a lot more humanely than the thousands of people who died on 9/11; his body was dumped like the trash it is; and that should be sufficient for anyone with good sense.
