Mast Length on Car Roof???

    What might bend the mast or the car.

    I read a handy hint once, that if you want to transport something long on a car sometimes the roof racks aren't far enough apart. So, you tie it up underneath your car because your front and rear bumpers are further apart.

    Never tried it myself.

    Anyone ever seen the film, "The Plank," one of the actors was Tommy Cooper. Bit like a Mr Bean episode as there were no words.

    Very good advice!
    Racks (and the roofs!) are dimensioned for skis, not masts, normally 90kg max. A long mast can create quite a moment if it starts to oscillate.
