Magnetic North Pole Shifts

Beyond just sliding around the planet, the magnetic north and south poles have been known to completely flip as well; these reversals, recorded in the magnetism of ancient rocks, are unpredictable. The last one was 780,000 years ago

Tampa International Airport N-S runway is closed for re-numbering because of this.

Maid of the Mist?

The filling of the reservoir behind Three Gorges Dam in China changed the rotation of the Earth.

The Evidence: Three Gorges Dam, China crosses the Yangtze River in Hubei province, China. It the world’s largest hydroelectric power station by total capacity, which will be 22,500 MW when completed. When the water level is maximum at 175 meters (574 ft) over sea level (91 meters (299 ft) above river level), the reservoir created by the dam is about 660 kilometers (410 mi) in length and 1.12 kilometers (0.70 mi) in width on average. The total surface area of the reservoir is 1045 km2, and it will will flood a total area of 632 km2 of land. The reservoir will contain about 39.3 cu km (9.43 cubic miles) of water. That water will weigh more than 39 trillion kilograms (42 billion tons).

A shift in a mass of that size would affect the rotation of the Earth due to a phenomena known as the moment of inertia, which is the inertia of a rigid rotating body with respect to its rotation.

So, if all the Chinese people stood up and jumped in unison, they could theoretically knock us on our asses.

http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/a...n=newsreleases

...object of sufficient weight -- such as a supersized volcano -- ever formed far from the equator, the force of the planet's rotation would gradually pull the heavy object away from the axis the Earth spins around."

Yellowstone is a Supervolcanoe which is over-due to erupt. Sorry, Boston, but that would mean bye-bye for you.

http://www.solcomhouse.com/yellowstone.htm

There is a contradiction, Boston, so perhaps you are safe.: Same link: "If another large caldera-forming eruption were to occur at Yellowstone, its effects would be worldwide. Thick ash deposits would bury vast areas of the United States, and injection of huge volumes of volcanic gases into the atmosphere could drastically affect global climate. Fortunately, the Yellowstone volcanic system shows no signs that it is headed toward such an eruption. The probability of a large caldera-forming eruption within the next few thousand years is exceedingly low."

Of course, there is the possibility that we are just missing the signs.

Perhaps prehistoric ice-age man caused global warming trying not to freeze to death.

The Chinese are Tying to do exactly that but are being counter levered by men in India and Spain which offsets the Center of Mass by the Cosign of the Astrological Signs.

Not to woory.

The Americans have geniticly Engineered a Human Counterbalance that has dynamically shifting Mass. She is inertially Mobil at this very "Moment" on the Democtaric Campaign circut; Viligantly ready to compesate for critical Mass fluctatuiions.

A true heroine. She could explain rising sea levels, too.

Why do the "ozone holes" seem to match the already begun pole change/polarity changes above southern Africa - esp when nasa say it wont affect radiation coming through our atmosphere?

That is a good question. I'll look for an answer.

http://ozonewatch.gsfc.nasa.gov/dail...ate=2006-09-24

http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/magnetic-field/1/2

The ozone hole at its highest extent seems to only brush the magnetic pole at the edge of it. Seems SA is pretty well protected.
