Live Aboards...

Hello...
Lets discuss real needs for same...
Subtract all the North American BS - the bigger and whiter picket fencing - the interest rates on your mortgage such that you remain working for the banks and not for yourself - until you cannot work anymore...
The first thing that I can think of - aside from a hot and cold pressure water system and reliable heat and a well laid out galley - is - wait for it...
WAIT...
A beautiful polished stainless steel urinal that goes directly to overboard...
Anybody here have one of them installed on your boat...
Yes - the urinal - a very simple yet potent male invention for male intentions...
You do not see same designed into the average head by the average heads...
This will be my first addition to my new home...
YUP...

Women On A Boat...

Hello...
I suppose an improperly proportioned urinal may be taken for a bidet - which could lead to very disgusting cleanup troubles...
We are looking at a plaque on the wall - polished bronze - with full instructions for dumb ass males and females - of which there are so many...
Good call...

What...

Hello...
It is the easiest thing to do - shore power - A/C and inverter - pressure regulated pump on an expansion tank - hot water tank looped to motors - done...
I would only hook salt water to a bidet - just out of spite...

Anyone that has spent any time offshore knows what happen when men piss standing up. It is a mess of piss spray everywhere.

A question of design Gonzo.......I do think Sean would make most use of it while moored.............maybe not ...

Like Teddy said ....that urinal would be great in the wheelhouse..

If he used when moored it would be illegal.

But if you flush with sea water nobody would taste the difference

So is speeding. What's your point?

Sean, while we're getting personal, here's another option.

While winter mountaineering, high in the Canadian Rockies,

I learned to take an empty pee bottle to bed with me.

Never again did I have to leave the comfort of my warm sleeping bag and

the shelter of a tent or alpine hut to venture out in cold, frozen boots to

expose myself to the harsh elements. The added bonus of retaining that

valuable heat for a foot warmer was comfortingly satisfying.

Don't ever mistake it for your water bottle however.

Although, if it's a warm, summer night, why not just step outside?

Less cleaning and polishing.

-Tom

HEY, what is so difficult about pissing over the stern rail?, and before anyone objects, I am sure I could find a length of clear plastic pipe of an appropriate diameter and length (that could be easily replaced or washed/sterilised), in the event that the member is too short to effectively clear the boat... Or in a marina situation where it would permit a less obvious spectacle, a LONGER tube
