Little bastards

Arctic "tornadoes" what are they? http://www.yr.no/nyheter/1.6368353 (only norwegian.. Sorry)
At 20:15 local time NRK1 today..

And just as a remark.. In Hånningsvåg (closest town to Nord Kap) a strom raged last night. 15 houses lost their roofs and 600sqm wall of a multipurpose hall flew in the sea.. Winds up 80knots (56 avarage)

Yep! I was a bit wary about my tent too thou it's quite well protected. We had here (200km southeast from Hånnningsvåg) some 25m/s.. no worries

Anyway watched the document about the arctic storms.. Intresting.. They seem to devolope quite suddenly without any alarming signs of them. They'll rage a couple of days before they dry out. Worst thing maybe that people (mostly fishermans at sea) hit by them never get any real weather warning.

Hardly.. mild weather temps btw -20 to +7 this year. Not anything it used to be.. Some maggots have been spreading last few summers and eating up all the leaves in trees killing them standing. A proper winter freeze about -35 even few days would kill those even smaller bastards..

45 minutes from blue sky/ sun to a blazing storm....
A hyper sensitive barometer and a boat able to go in hyper speed?

Ok, seriously; I have never experienced these, but I have experienced fast weater changes in the winter time, is pretty difficult to prepare for...
