You should play around With this trimaran design. Professionable Boatbuilder magazine has a contest going on. How fast you reckon that thing could go if it had a 20Hp Honda on it?

Dunno...

Hello...

Wow - that was an old Photoshop job - Craig Loomes meets a War Hawk - both drunk...

I imagine it would go pretty good if you keep it from going submarine - hence my little bow planes...

I really do not understand the North American aversion to this idea...

See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZbKD0M95ClU ...

Any way - got to go back to work in the morning...

Thanks for bringing that old mess up again...

I believe it was a desperate attempt at a low MPG fast commuter for me to get to Gibsons - there is room enough for a single berth and a pooper - and thats about it...

Cheers...

SH.

Submissions must be the designer’s original work and should include lines, profile, sections, table of offsets, accurate weight study, cost calculations, and performance predictions.

Judges will look favorably on any reduction in power or fuel consumption below the contest maximums. In addition, they will consider originality, aesthetics, onboard details and appointments, and construction costs. Remember, the goal is a powerboat that’s visually appealing and fun to operate; at the same time, it must be efficient and safe for a family to make daytrips in coastal or inland waters. The best designs will balance all these elements.
