Photos from the ground in Alabama

These were taken in Alabama of Katrina as it was "coming in".

Although devastating, there is a bit of beauty in the photos.

As you say, frightening but God they are beautiful -OK sat at a computer the other side of the 'pond' I can say that, bet the noise was deafening, and was I there I'd be hidding behind the brown wall I was rapidly building; but yes they are beautiful -well done for taking them!

Yes Otto, I am impressed also - haven't seen these kind of skies since I was in Kentucky, long time ago...

The clouds in these photos were taken before Katrina

These clouds were photographed before Katrina. They are from
a tornado. They were found out because they were on internet
    before Katrina.

You know I might have suspected this, as the storm is too tightly wound to be a hurricane. Sorry I didn't confirm my posting as acurate.

They had been sent to me, and I did think they were worth sharing with the boating world that deals with weather all the time.
