Ah at last a REAL hero! All we have to do now is get some half decent actors and teach them a decent language and we're on our way!

OH! yes and tie a broom to our mast head! The Dutch understand the use of a broom in the channel!! (check your history Yipster and put your whip away friend! - the rest of you? well I'll leave that to Yipster.........

Safie, the image in the intro was good looking enough flashing belt buckle, chopper making lightning. sexy looking lady on screen right (near the chopper).

Looks good to me. Please ensure dubbed in English for the likes of me. I think the septics may need another language. Heh heh heh. (half hearted laugh)

Good one Yipster, potential for global market there.

Yipster,

Good comic strip, thanks for sharing. Hope the movie does well; I'd enjoy seeing it with English dubbing or sub-titles. I particulary like the fact that it's easy to tell the evil guys in the strip; they're the ones with the weird-shaped heads.

Masalai,

Interesting that you felt it necessary to explain to Walrus which person in the movie poster was the sexy looking lady; Frosty will enjoy that.

Had to look this one up and flying a broom was born in our naval history i see
Good Tromp did not annihilate the English, its to much of a pleasant place
There was a review in the papers on the new movie and its aimed at younger children
Not like the Dutch maritime movie Bontekoe ( I haven’t seen either yet )
that’s aimed at teenagers I remember how Rob's oponent the mad scientist professor Lupardi
already half a century back together with his even odder Japanese assistant
chanced the climate from his laboratory inside a south pole volcano or something.
The whole penguin population adopted as slaves with antennas on their heads
The paper reads: captain Rob was a sailor saving the world sort of James Bond
But only when he had to, Rob rather would be back sitting on his boat
A Dutch fictional hero yes but don’t think he nor me are flying broom types
guess now i have to destroy my childhood imaginairy hero by seeing the movie eh?

Yipster you found it! It would appear that shortly afterwards General at Sea Blake, one of Cromwells Generals from our period without a King or the "Commonwealth" (which we did somewhat earlier than most European Countries thus it didn't catch on but that's another story) beat the Dutch and so the story goes lashed a whip to his masthead to donate that he would whip the Dutch back up the Channel like the curs they were! Makes a good story if nothing else. Funny really when you consider that both the English and the Dutch were for many years strong allies - being Protestant countries amongst the heratic Catholics (we even later took a Dutch Duke and turned him [and his wife] into some of the best monarchs we every had - William and Mary - in fact William was the last English Monarch to lead his troops in battle! Enough history I think!

Hi Charlie,
Bludy 'ell mate do I tork that bad?

I was passing judgement on safie who in part said: "...All we have to do now is get some half decent actors and teach them a decent language..." by suggesting that I was happy with existing "actors" and only needed dubbing, as being a poor country we tolerate that from Hollywood, so why go to the added expense hiring & re-taking for English speakers.

Modern animation techniques can be wonderfully realistic.

Unless you know something that I don't???

No, mate, I was joking about Safewalrus and Frosty's mutually garrulous relationship, in which they delight in disparaging each other. I thought it was funny that you pointed out the sexy looking lady; implied that Safie wouldn't recognize one on his own! That's a Frosty type of comment!

Ol Frosty has been hiding of late. Has he got a job, or found another drivel thread having lost his kingdom?

I especially for him, found some additions for BOAT JOKES, from a Malaysian source.
