It's "planing", people, not "planning"

Just a personal gripe, but I see far too many people spelling "planing" as "planning". There are only two 'n's in the word planing which describes the condition in which a hull is supported on the surface of the water at high speeds.

Planning is what you do when you figure out how you will do something prior to doing it.

Gripe over.

Not true, it's planing, hence 2 'n'.

Apart from that, I agree and it's something I've also noticed.

The planning of a planing hull should be on the planning table of the planing hul before the planning plan of the planing vessel get on the planning board to evaluate the cost of the planning for the planing vessel

Well, I plan to board the plane with some plans for a new planing boat. It's a plain and simple plan. Hope the planned trip will go well and the plane will not have to plane down to the tree lane.

My plans to plane across the bay went awry when I planed over a sandbar breaking my daggerboard. Planing is a blast if you plan a little bit ahead of time. Best laid plans...and all that...
