I don’t have the reference in front of me but I would think the core in your boat was below 12% moisture when built. If you live in an area that has very high average moisture, there may be nothing you can do. Even epoxy sheathed hulls will reach equilibrium with the surroundings. The worst thing for a cored hull is to have it cycle from low moister to high. You also want be sure the core is sealed because if air and moisture combine at the core that’s when you get rot.

thanks for getting back to me, here is the problem! I have had to boat since new and from to get go it was leeking water. I have been calling Sunseeker about all kinds of problems with the boat but they are not helping me at all. i was told that the amount of mosture is way to high for a fiberglass boat built in 2001 the stringer are also as wet as can be. I guess i am asking what should i do.

Thanks again!

“leaking water” Do you mean when on the trailer water is leaking out of the hull. Is this from cracks or fasteners or hull fittings? You may need a good survey, they could recommend repairs if needed.

well the water is coming from a seam on the stern of the boat. thst boat comes with outdrives or surface drives. Mine came with surface drives so the swim platform is whats leaking were it meets the body of the boat. they come out to fix it once along time ago with 5200 but its still leaks. I have had the boat out of the water for about 3 weeks and still the mosture is so high. that is why i am not sure what to do?

My earlier comments where only related to the moisture level in the core. If you have water coming out than it is getting in somewhere. I would look for a surveyor that is familiar with your type of boat and surface drives. I would be over my head to speculate further.
