IF the boat floats the simplest is to go to a port and talk to a shipping agent.
Most will know a captain that likes to make some side money.

If the vessel can be lifted aboard by the ships crane and welded or lashed to the deck (or if you have a proper cradle) there is little problem.

Unloading at the destination is usually done a few miles out , so you steam in and go thru customs etc by yourself.

ANYTHING else is expensive!

I aided the shipping of a 40' game boat from Australia to Fiji, cost about $20K+ Aust. Measured the boat on slip- built steel cradle-stevedores loaded boat to cradle on a container flat rack & then to ship.Apparently competitive against fuel+ crew + extra insurance & engine hours of delivery on her own bottom. Some times cradles can be sourced for little cost if the country your at imports a lot of boats. All the best from Jeff.

Please don't get me wrong but why would you want to ship a "boat that don't" to anywhere?

Walrus
Cause they are defunct and cheaper to work on in place B
Or they don't do ocean crossings but are good coastal boats
Or you earn so much that the time off for the sailing trip equates to a phenominal amount of lost income and or you don't like delivery crews.

It's common to ship boats across the Atlantic. Of course an ancient mariner would do his own delivery

Of course he would, but first he'd have a seaworthy boat! Even if it was only for "a walk in the park" so to speak - that's how he comes to make ancient mariner (plays the safety card at all times and only takes calculated sensible risks - when anybody is looking that is! outa sight of land / people he cheats like any other bugger, but as he gets older he knows when he can! Anybody can play that game, as long as he survives; lucky I guess)!

Was only asking mate plausible, yes ......sensible ....mmm

It does depend what the continents are. Between Europe/Asia/Africa, or between North America/South America -- you can use roads.
